Shelly Bypass R2 (accessory for Shelly 1L and Shelly Dimmer 2)
The new Shelly Bypass R2, launching in September 2022, is an accessory from Shelly that works in conjunction with the Shelly 1L Single-Wire WiFi Smart Relay and the Shelly Dimmer 2 Single-Wire WiFi Smart Dimmer. The use of Shelly Bypass is only necessary if low energy lights are used in conjunction with smart relays (such as LED lights).
Specifically, if:
Shelly 1L is used with a light or other electrical device with less than 20W performance, or
The Shelly Dimmer 2 is used with a light with performance less than 10W.
Only required when Shelly 1L or Shelly Dimmer 2 is used in single-wire installation, i.e. without neutral wire.
