Voltage damper for Shelly RC Snubber relays

The Snubber Shelly RC is an accessory for Shelly relays and is recommended for use with inductive devices such as motors, fans, vacuum cleaners, washing machines and power transformers (power adapters for LED, laptop, TV).

These appliances can cause voltage spikes in the electrical network when switched on/off if voltage fluctuations are not properly addressed by the manufacturers, which can cause problems in the electrical network. Such a problem can be, for example, random on/off and restart of Shelly relays.

In order to avoid such electrical problems, a Shelly RC damper (0.1 μF / 100 Ω / 1 / 2W / 600 V AC) must be connected between the Under Voltage (L Out) and Neutral (N) of the electrical circuit. See examples of wiring diagrams in the product descriptions.

The purpose of the RC damper is to damp or neutralize voltage spikes caused by inductive devices by the energy absorption circuit inside.
